How We Work

You’ll know the scope and the price before you commit.

The thing most people have been burned by is the open meter. The consultant who bills by the hour, the project that never quite ends, the invoice that keeps growing. We don’t work that way. Here’s exactly how we do work, start to finish.
Step 01

Start with a conversation.

A focused, thirty-minute conversation about your business. It’s free, and it’s not a sales pitch. By the end we’ve pulled out the two or three things that would move the needle most for you, whether or not you ever hire us.

If there’s no fit, we’ll say so, and you’ll still walk away with something useful.

Step 02

We scope the real work.

If there’s a fit, the next step is a short discovery. Deep enough to actually understand the work, look at what you have, and research your specific situation.

Then we come back with a written plan: here’s what we’d do, here’s what it includes, and here’s the fixed price. One number. You’ll know exactly what you’re buying before you spend a dollar on the build.

This is the part that makes custom work safe. The work is bespoke. The commitment is not open-ended.

Step 03

We build it.

The website, the CRM, the ad program, the marketing operation. Whatever the discovery turned out to require. We do the work, we keep you in the loop, and we don’t disappear between updates.

Because the scope and price were set up front, there are no surprise change orders. If something genuinely new comes up, we talk about it before it goes on an invoice.

Step 04

We hand it off, and usually stay on.

When the work is done, it’s yours. You own the accounts, you understand how it runs, and you have documentation written in plain language, not developer shorthand. You’re never trapped, the way a lot of our clients were when they first called us.

But most clients don’t leave it there. The project is usually where the relationship starts. From here, the majority keep us on as their ongoing marketing and technology leadership: the consultancy that already knows their business and keeps making it better. That’s the work we’re built for.

Why we work this way.

We’re based on Maui, and most of the people we work with are owner-operators who’ve been let down by someone before. A locked website, a half-finished CRM, an agency that billed forever and delivered little.
